To create a special and exclusive collection of die-cast ornaments for the 1996 holiday season, Matchbox went back into the archives and found priceless tooling used to craft some of the earliest models in Matchbox history. Now that very rare vintage tooling has been reproduced and used to create four unique ornaments destined to become treasured family heirlooms.

No.1 is the first Aveling Barford Road Roller. No.4, the Massey Harris Tractor, recreates the spoked front wheels and large mudguards mounted on either side of the driver. No.9 is based on the 1948 Dennis F2 Fire Engine, complete with two large wheels on the escape wheel which can be rotated. And No.52 replicates the 1948 Maserati race car, one of the sleekest classics of all time. Each ornament has been created by Matchbox Collectibles. "the greatest name in die-cast."

Each hand-painted die-cast classic includes a driver at the wheel. And each heirloom comes ready for hanging on the boughs of your tree.
